What I like


I’m all about coffee (lots of it!), pajama pants, and walks with my two doodles. I love soaking up time with my hubby and adult kids at our lake house, and anything in royal blue instantly makes me happy. Simple joys, real laughs, and cozy moments are my favorite.

Okoboji, Iowa–based photographer serving the Iowa Great Lakes area, as well as Sioux City and the surrounding Siouxland region.

Hi, I’m Juli — but most people know me as Truly Juli!

I photograph seniors, families, couples, brands, and professionals who want more than “just pictures.” I’m all about capturing real smiles, real connection, and the little in-between moments that make you you.

I’m based in Lake Park, Iowa, serving Okoboji and the Iowa Great Lakes area, and I’m often in Sioux City working with my Siouxland clients, too.

Give me all the Golden Hour glow! I love warm, color-rich, timeless edits and I’m known for going the extra mile in polishing your images so you look natural, confident, and amazing. My sessions are relaxed and guided — I’ll help you feel comfortable while still leaving room for those candid, personality-filled moments.

Fun fact: I’m a retired military veteran turned empty nester. My husband Josh and I are soaking up this new season while cheering on our daughter (newly married!) and our son as he starts his career after graduating from Iowa State.
